1....

WOW, I am very hung over today. I apologize for my appearance. It's our last day of classes for 2006! I hope everyone has some nice plans for the break. The staff party was nice last night, but I am paying for the fun today.

Tonight is the Raptors game. Don't forget we are meeting at 842 Yonge Street at 6:20 pm. The place is very close to Yonge and Bloor Subway Station.

^^ Click on the picture to see the directions. Our great PMM teacher Randy Ray will be going to the game with you. Remember to ask him any questions you might have. Here is a picture of Randy if you don't know him.

Don't forget to pickup your Ski Trip refund. Sorry about the cancelation, but with the warm weather I don't have much choice.

2....

Just 2 more days people. Get ready for a fun vacation! I hope everyone has some interesting plans for the holiday break. Club night last night was pretty enjoyable. I just hate when you guys drag me onto the dance floor because I am just SO TERRIBLE at dancing. It's embarassing!

Hope everyone has a good night tonight. Its the holiday party for teachers tonight, so don't be surprised if your teacher looks a little tired on Friday morning.

Remember to come and grab your Ski/Snowboard trip refund. The trip is canceled due to the lovely weather we have been having recently. Sorry, we will try again in January.

Talk to everyone soon. Enjoy your second-last day this year!

4....

Just four more days until KGIC's holiday break! Yoga tonight, CN Tower and Jingle Ball Party tomorrow, Raptors on Friday and Ski Trip on Saturday.

**** UPDATE ****
The Jingle Ball Party has moved. I originally thought it was Thursday, but I made a mistake. The party is Wednesday night. I have the tickets now if anyone wants to join. We will be meeting at St. Andrew Subway Station on Wednesday night at 8:30. PLEASE come get your tickets if you have already signed up!

It should be a great party at ESCAPE nightclub (see below for links and details). Join me to celebrate the end of a great year!

The Ski/Snowboarding trip looks like it will be canceled unless the weather changes in the next 2 days. Without cold, without snow it will be impossible to go Skiing. I am disappointed I just got my snowboard waxed and ready for the season and it looks like I won't be using it until January.

Here are the announcements if you missed them earlier today. Come see me on the 6th floor if you have any questions.

Have a great day eveyone.

**** UPDATE ****
Hey, today after school our good friends at ISX tours will be here at KGIC to talk about their New York at New Years tour. Join them in Vancouver classroom at 4:30 today if you are curious about the details of this great getaway!

Monday, the beginning of a new week!

wwwIt's the last week of the year! Everyone must be getting excited about the holiday break. Remember you can ask Trevor for information about trips and ideas about what you can do during the holiday vacation.

This week we have a lot going on.

Tuesday it's Yoga Class. Just $6 for a class to develop your mind and body!

Wednesday we have a CN Tower Tour (weather permitting). Just $15 will allow you to see Toronto from the Observation level of the CN Tower. You can also see the Glass Floor, a great place to test your tolerance of heights.

Wednesday lets celebrate the end of the year at the Jingle Ball party. It's just $5 to attend this great club night at ESCAPE nightclub. Dance, drink and party at 22 Duncan Street.

Friday we have the Toronto Raptors vs. the New Jersey Nets. You can watch superstar Vince Carter play against his old team. The cost is just $30 to join.
**** UPDATE ****
Raptors tickets are SOLD OUT! I am trying to get some more. Come see me tomorrow at lunch time if you still want tickets!

Saturday features our first Ski and Snowboard trip of the year. For $85 you can join the trip. The price includes transportation to Snow Valley, 6 hour lift ticket, rental of equipment and a lesson for beginners. I was trying to find a lower price for this day, but I couldn't. I promise I will have a less expensive trip in January.
**** UPDATE ****
I am not 100% sure the ski/snowboard trip will be happening this Saturday. Snow Valley currently has snow, but the weather (check it out) this week will be warm and wet. This could eliminate most of the snow they currently have. We will know for sure yes or no Friday morning.

That's all for today. Don't forget that if you want to join ANY of these activities you should see me (Trevor) on the 6th floor. It should be a great week. Don't forget to tune-in for the announcements tomorrow at lunch, or here on the website.

Friday.... Finally!

It's been a rough week for me, and I'm still feeling sick. The hockey game last night was great, but the Majors lost after leading the game for 44 minutes. How could they allow 3 goals in the 3rd period? God, so painful.

Tonight we have Salsa Lessons. If you are intererested remember to see me on the 6th floor to sign up and pay. I hope everyone is ready for a great weekend. Myself? I am administering the CAEL test on Saturday and recovering from my sickness. So not a very exciting weekend for me.

As a special bonus today I have a nice video from my last trip to Korea. I was in Ansan (south west of Seoul) and I enjoyed some great food there. Here is a video of me eating San Nak Chi (live octopus). It's pretty funny, but really delicious.

Enjoy yourselves this weekend, and stay out of the cold!

Thursday Night... OHL Hockey!

Hey, everyone!

I am back. I still feel miserable but the show must go on. OHL Hockey is tonight if you would like to join please see me on the 6th floor anytime today to sign up and pay.

For just $10 you can see the St. Michael's Majors vs. the Belleville Bulls. This is some of the best hockey you can watch in Toronto and the price is very reasonable! If you have never seen a hockey game before this is your best option for a great introduction.

Hope to see you tonight!

Also, the Salsa Lessons are happening tomorrow. If you are interested in learning this great dance form please see Trevor to sign up and pay.

Hey guys. Hope you are having a good day!

Remember we have Yoga tonight if you are interested. It costs just $6 and takes place right here in KGIC's building on the 8th floor. It will be a great way to get some exercise or increase your flexibility.

If you missed today's announcements here they are again. Have a good time, don't forget about OHL Hockey on Thursday. Now would be a great time to sign up.

Talk to you soon everyone!

Monday!

Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. Coming up this week we have a few great activities I wanted to highlight.

We have Yoga tomorrow for just $6. The classes will be taking place here in our building on the 8th floor. It's a great option for some fitness and flexibility after school. See Trevor to sign up and pay.

Thursday we have OHL Hockey. For just $10 you can enjoy the fast-paced games that are featured at the St. Michael's arena. The crowd is small, so you can usually find a great seat right next to the glass. Check out this Hockey vocabulary video. It's a great way to learn a little about the game.

Friday we have Salsa Lessons and Salsa Night. The first stop will be to learn the moves at a local dance studio. The second stop is some time at a club playing salsa music. Both places, lots of salsa dancing for just $11.

Goodbye Motoi and Duke!

It's Friday. It's also the last day for many students here at KGIC Toronto. A lot of people will be missing their friends on Monday. But for now, have a great night and a great weekend everyone!

Two of the students who graduate today are my great practicum students Motoi and Duke. Thanks for all your help guys! You did some nice work for me over these past 4 weeks. Thanks again for being understanding of my busy schedule, and doing all I asked of you and more.

I'll miss you guys! Motoi, I am sure I will see you this weekend. Duke, try not to sleep on the job so much... :)

Today is also my last day as ONLY the Activities Coordinator, and my last day on the 4th floor. I am moving upstairs today and taking on the responsibilities of Practicum Coordinator in addition to my current job. If you want to join activities, from now on you need to visit me on the 6th floor in the lobby area.

Have a great weekend everyone! Try to stay out of the rain and cold, maybe rent some movies and stay under the blankets. See you Monday!
