Raptors vs. Wizards TONIGHT!

Everyone has their tickets, so get ready for a great game! Remember you are meeting the wonderful ESL teacher Jane (pictured below) at the corner of Front and Bay Street at 6:30 pm. If you want you don't need to meet, just go directly to the game at the Air Canada Center which is directly south of Union subway station.

Have a great time tonight. Also, don't forget to vote on the ski/snowboard trip. This is the best way to let me know what you are thinking. Cheap trip for less time at night, or expensive trip for an all day experience YOUR CHOICE!

Monday.... Hope you had a great weekend!

Hockey was fun yesterday, although Toronto lost the game. I can't believe they tied the game 3-3 but lost 6-3. Terrible, just terrible.

We have one more event this month the Toronto Raptors vs. the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, January 31st. Please come and pick up your tickets if you haven't already.

Also, here is a sneak-preview of February's schedule. There still may be a few changes, but the calendar should be available later today.

It's MONDAY!

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great time on Friday night. There were a few injuries, but nothing serious. I was really impressed that everyone tried so hard at a new sport. Especially the Mexican, Brazilian and Taiwanese students! Great effort! I couldn't tell it was your first time!

Here is a short video of the trip. Raphael, Yesenya, Alejandro, Peggy Lee, Karent, Judy Chen, Yun Suk, Jin, Tina and Justin are just some of the students featured. Also we have the pleasure of hearing Victor Medina express his dis-pleasure with skiing.

Enjoy the video, and enjoy your day!

Remember this week we have Basketball on Friday night and Hockey on Sunday afternoon. Make sure to see Trevor to sign up and pay!!!

Some more pictures have been uploaded!

Here are a few samples. I have uploaded a bunch of pictures that former students have sent me. Thanks a lot for the pictures guys. I really appreciate it. Everyone here misses you!

Me and the twins in New York, March 2006.

Me and Connie during the halloween boat cruise, October 2006.

Our former students with a friend of mine. Edgar, Cristel, Devon (the piper), Iris (my Mexican sister), Eduardo. Devon sits on the corner here at Yonge and Eglinton and plays the bagpipes for $$.

Check out all these pictures and more at the KGIC Toronto Photo Album.

Daniella I am sorry!

I was too tired to go out again last night. Daniella and Alejandra are just too good at partying. I am getting old I guess. Plus I was hanging out with Jung Suk (the most famous and unlucky Korean we have ever had in Toronto). He leaves today, finally! See you in Korea Jung Suk! I hope your 14 months here were well spent. You certainly had some interesting experiences!

The ski/snowboard trip for today is canceled, don't forget. If the weather stays cool this weekend we WILL be having a ski/snowboard trip next weekend. Hope for snow people!

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Hungover?

I am. Good party last night eh? I guess we are going out again tonight if anyone wants to join us. I pinky-promised Daniella that I would come to joe nightclub. It's $ 0.50 Thursday. That means $0.50 cover charge, $0.50 beers and a lot of fun.

If you have some pictures from last night please send them too me. You can use my work email toronto-activity@kgic.ca or you can use my person email alltogethernow@gmail.com

Thanks for coming. I hope to see people again tonight!

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

WOW.. It's finally cold!

The ski and snowboard trip for this week is still canceled, but the trip for next weekend looks like it can now happen! It's amazing! The temperature is finally dropping and snow is finally falling. I will give everyone some updates about the ski/snowboard trip early next week.

Please check the KGIC Toronto Photo Album. I have uploaded a bunch of pictures from my trip to Korea in October. I met a bunch of ex-KGIC students some from 2003, 2004 and 2005. It was AMAZING to see all of you guys. Just click on the picture to see the photos ===>

I would also like to update you about the Toronto Raptors games we have this month and the prices. The Raptors vs. the Boston Celtics is on the 26th of January and costs $30. The Raptors vs. the Washington Wizards on the 31st the cost is just $35 (with slightly better tickets).

Also, tonight, don't forget about Pub Night! We will be going to Piccadilly Circus to drink and relax. Join us anytime after 9:00 pm. It should be a great night. I have directions for anyone interested.

New York, New York

The city so nice they named it twice. One of our amazing students Scott went to New York in October 2006 and made this short video of his trip. He speaks a little Korean in it... But he wasn't in school so I guess he doesn't need an English Warning.

What a great city!
ONLY ENGLISH NEXT TIME SCOTT!
:)

Tuesday

Hey guys! Don't forget to catch KGIC This Week after lunch in communications class! If you miss it you can check it out below.

Tonight we have Yoga ($10) and Walking Tour of Downtown (FREE!). See me to sign up for Yoga, and if you want to join our Walking Tour then please meet me at 4:30 in front of Yanela's desk!
Here are some students on the walking tour this summer. Thats the 'Foreign Wars Memorial' on University Avenue. Hope to see you tonight! :)

Also, if you don't have any plans for Wednesday join me for a few drinks at Piccadilly Circus. The directions are listed below. Memorize them, or come meet me at the pub at around 9 pm. It is very close to St. Andrew Subway Station. Remember if you want to come you must be OVER 19 years old and REMEMBER YOUR PASSPORT! You must have ID to prove your age when you go drinking in Canada. A passport is the best ID you can provide. Student cards (ISIC or KGIC), drivers lisences and photocopies rarely work. Come see me if you have any questions!
Have a great day everyone!

Dear God... Lets Pretend This Week Didn't Happen

WOW..

I am slowly recovering from a terrible cold. Sorry I haven't been around this week. I didn't want to infect the school with this bad bug I have. Sorry about the Downtown Walking Tour. I might reschedule it for next week sometime.

Both of our Skiing/Snowboarding trips depend on the weather getting colder in a hurry. Right now if this incredibly warm weather keeps up we cannot go Skiing/Snowboarding at all. The weather forcasters are saying this is the warmest winter EVER in Toronto.

I hope the weather becomes colder soon. Everyone have a great weekend. I will hopefully be fully recovered by Monday. I have some great events lined up for this month so lets have a good time together!

Tuesday, January 2, 2007

Welcome Back!

Hey everyone!

I hope that you all had a great holiday break. I enjoyed my time at home with my friends and family. It was a great way to end the year, and begin another. I am currently putting the finishing touches on the Activities Calendar for this month. I am releasing it today, but there may be some changes tomorrow.

Take a look. It should be a great month. Hopefully we get some colder weather and some more snow so that we can really enjoy the Ski and Snowboard trips I have planned for January.

I am feeling really sick today (fever, cough, etc). This is due to my nieces and nephews. Kids make me sick .. haha. Anyhow I may not be around this afternoon, but I will see everyone bright and early tomorrow morning.
