Monday July 23rd...... I hope you had a good weekend!

Wow...

Be ready for the KGIC Idol video coming out tomorrow. We had some AMAZING talent here at the school. There were performances from dancers, singers and more! I would really like to congratulate the winners of the $500, $300 and $200 prizes:

1st Place - Bit Na and Brad (for singing Endless Love)
2nd Place - Jae Jun and Ron (for a very strange performance)
3rd Place - Eun Joo and Reina (for a Jazz-Clarinet rendition of Over the Rainbow)

Really all the performances were better than I could have expected. Nice work everyone! Great job. If you have some pictures of the performances I would really encourage you to send them too me.

Also I would like to Congratulate team two for winning the KGIC Soccer Championship. I will put up a list of names once I find it, haha. I know I promised a prize and I will take care of that this week. I need to negotiate with the boss-man to figure out what you have earned. It should be something that will make you happy.

Baseball on Friday was good, well except for the fact that Toronto lost. Wonderland was also particularly exciting, it was a beautiful day and perfect weather for waiting in line ;)

This week we have some great events once again. Events include:

We Will Rock You - July 24th
CN Tower Tour - July 25th

CFL Football - July 26th

Royal Ontario Museum - July 27th

Beaches Jazz Festival - July 28th

Boat Cruise Party - July 29th

WHEW! It's going to be a busy week! I really encourage you to enjoy the Boat Cruise Party. It will be a great way to finish the week and the month in style.

First of all, here are yesterday's announcements if you missed them.

Second, we have club night tonight at SUBA Club. It is an ALL AGES NIGHT! If you are UNDER 19 years old you will have to pay $5 cover charge. If you are OVER 19 years old there is no cover charge until 11 pm.

Here are the directions:
Third, KGIC Idol is tomorrow! We have around $1000 to give away in prizes. The Salvation Army has graciously offered to allow us to use their space for the performances. We have 10 individuals and groups that are preparing to give us some amazing performances.

You should SIGN UP to be a spectator, we only have space for about 150 people in the audience. If you would like to watch the performances please come see ME (TREVOR) today or tomorrow to join.

Fourth, the KGIC Soccer Championship happens this Friday afternoon. Everyone should meet in Eglinton Park at 3:00 pm after classes. The 4 teams will be posted on Friday morning on the 6th floor. We are MIXING nationalities. I know many people wanted just their country on their team, but at KGIC we are all together, and we wanted the teams to reflect that mixing of cultures.

All that is happening, plus ICHRIO and Wonderland too!!!

Breaks, Beats and Culture at the Harbourfront Centre

First, the Toronto Grand Prix activity has been canceled. I have no idea why everyone was so crazy for the F1 in Montreal, but Champ car racing wasn't exciting for you. HAHA, oh well I have to learn about these things.

Second, tonight we have Breaks, Beats and Culture at the Harbourfront Centre. This is a free 3 day festival at the Harbourfront. It should be a great time tonight. Music, dance demonstrations, beers, food, shopping AND MORE!

Welcome to JULY 2007!

Here's the announcements if you missed them this afternoon. It is going to be an amazing month. I am personally very excited about a few activities in particular. I really encourage everyone to join:

FIFA U20 World Cup July 11th and 12th

KGIC Idol Competition (AMAZING Prizes to be won!)

Canada's Wonderland on July 21st (always a favourite)

I would also like to welcome the SCHOLA and CANBE groups to KGIC. SCHOLA from Spain and CANBE from Turkey. These groups join KGIC for a month each summer. I love the extra diversity that is offered every summer.
