Crazy! More Pictures!

HAHA... wow. Here are some more great pictures from the snowstorm. People are cross country skiing in downtown Toronto!

Toronto's Big Snowstorm...

What a crazy weekend. The snow started Saturday night and kept going all day Sunday. Here are the results. Sorry students! KGIC is still open! This is Canada, a little snow doesn't bother us. Good to see MOST of you this morning.

Check out the pictures (Thanks Maki!)

Remember, before this storm we had almost NO SNOW. All of this snow came down in about 24 hours. It was around 30 cm. Amazing eh?

Ski/Snowboard First Trip of the Winter

Wow, it was a great weekend. We started it with a ski/snowboard trip, just $50, the cheapest trip in Toronto. We had 2 buses and 90 students for our night at the hill. It was fun and we had NO INJURIES! Thanks so much to everyone who came, I am glad you had a safe and fun time. You can see some of the great pictures below as well as a short video of the fun we had.

**** WARNING ****
If you don't want to see Ryota's naked upper body please don't watch this video. The man is crazy and ignored the -20C temperatures to show off for the ladies.

December 11th - KGIC This Week

Here it is, in case you missed it. The new PMM class did a great job with this one (though it is a little long). It's my fault maybe because I had a lot to say... haha my apologies if you are sick of my face.

Don't forget your insurance card or information this Friday to join the ski/snowboard trip! I cannot let you get on the bus! Please make sure you don't forget!

The PMM class just put together this very nice graduation video. They played this after their speeches. It was very well done so I thought I would share it with you.

In other news December's Calendar is ready! Here it is. It's going to be a great month, sorry November was boring. Being sick at the beginning of the month made a mess of things. PROMISE I WILL BE MORE HEALTHY!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Hello Everybody!

Here are last week's announcements just in case you missed them. About 30 students are currently in New York. I am sure they are having an amazing time. ESL Teacher Tracy is there with them to make sure they stay out of trouble in the big city. I can't wait to hear their stories of the big apple. ENJOY!

December is coming soon. The new calendar should be available tomorrow. We have a lot of great events coming... like a Ski/Snowboard trip, New York and Montreal for New Year's Eve, Hockey, Basketball (BOSTON!), Aboriginal Dance Performance, and much more!

I will also have some suggestions available for students who will be staying in the city during the Christmas break, as well as some vacation ideas for students who have the time and money to enjoy something a little different.

GET READY FOR A GOOD WEEK KGIC!

This Week's Announcements

Check them out! We have some great events this week. The Raptors vs. Utah tonight, the CN Tower tomorrow and Steam Whistle Brewery on Friday. The Santa Claus Parade is also this week. Sunday I am inviting students to my apartment (which overlooks the route) to watch the parade in comfort instead of the cold. The sign up list is already full, and with 20 students my apartment will be full too!

The Santa Claus Parade route can be found below. If you are not one of the lucky 20 students who are coming to my place on Sunday you can head to anywhere on this route to see the parade. The Toronto Santa Claus Parade is now one of the largest (if not THE largest) one of its kind in the world.

OK .... Sorry I have been sick

I was away for almost the whole week last week! So instead of canceling all the activities I have changed the activities calendar for this month. Please see the revised schedule below.I have just moved most of the activities to this week. Please join me for some great events and some amazing trips! New York and French Canada will be great features this month. I haven't been to New York for almost a year, so I am very excited. The Canadian dollar is really high right now so shopping in New York should be especially nice.

SEE YOU ON THE BUS!
